Hoxton Forward Movement (FM) shares inspiration in music, art, fashion and culture via a 24/7 internet radio stream and video segments. Our aim is to push the boundaries of the creative industry with diverse, high quality content and innovative live venue broadcasts to mobile and PC.

In late 2011 four like-minded individuals saw that the finest protagonists in all areas of creativity needed an independent voice to showcase their talents. The Preshaah (who later joined another station) and Dan Formless are both DJ’s and presenters whilst Rakhee Sudra is responsible for production and Quintin Christian manages audio.

The legendary Normski has quickly embraced the concept and now broadcasts his weekly Get.Tronic show every Friday live at 4pm from a variety of venues. Constantly pushing the boundaries of live broadcasting, Hoxton FM have already featured the likes of Dizzee Rascal, A Guy Called Gerald, The Loose Cannons, Ronnie Joice, Blonde Ambition, Crash Rhinos and Elle Holgate to name a few.

Open is a new underground music event founded by Anthony and Frazer Campbell who have a passion for deep underground House and Techno.

Frazer Campbell DJ Biography

A London based DJ and producer with a passion for real house and groovy techno.
Frazer is co founder of ‘OPEN underground’ alongside his brother Anthony Campbell.
Frazer’s passion for electronic music started back in 1993 at the tender age of 15. He spent his weekends scanning through the FM dial searching for pirate radio stations playing underground music, recording snippets of shows and taking tapes to record shops to try and locate the track and purchase them. Frazer’s music taste started with hardcore, progressed into jungle closely followed by House. Frazer’s frequent visits to what he considers one of the coolest establishments in London, The Cross, Kings Cross is where he developed his true love for House. This club transformed Frazer’s opinion of clubbing and the music. From this moment onwards a firm obsession developed with the scene and its sound.
Frazer spent many years clubbing and would tell his younger brother Anthony, who lived in Scotland, all about it, expressing the passion and vibe that people had and what the music meant to him. When Anthony moved in with Frazer in 2003, the collective passion now progressed. Anthony suggested that Frazer should get back into djing once again as he had taken a break from the Jungle days. To cut a very long story short Frazer began to DJ at some of London’s top locations such as Plan B, EGG, Turnmills, Pacha London and ultimately ‘The Cross’. He played alongside some fantastic artists such as King Roc (RIP), Tim Sheridan, Paolo Mojo, and Paul Jackson to name a few.
Frazer and Anthony also promoted events at these venues as well as smaller events across South London.

Frazer took some time out from the scene to build up a successful company in a separate industry and due to this the music had to stay in the background, although any free time was spent developing his production skills.

Frazer and Anthony are establishing a new wave of parties under the guise of ‘OPEN’ . 2013 is going to be a big year for the guys; events already booked and highly respected headliners confirmed. Within this schedule Frazer is busy in the studio and has releases confirmed for this year……….2013 will be very exciting for these two guys……just wait and see.

Frazer’s style of house is deep and hypnotic and this is evident in some of his recent productions. He is also experimenting with darker shades of groovy Techno. Driving percussive sounds are what you will expect to hear from him with deep basslines…..

Anthony Campbell DJ Biography

Anthony started listening to commercial electronic music throughout his teens during the late 1990’s, always enjoyed it but it didn’t become a passion until later down the line.

His official love of underground House/Electronic music started in July 2003. He finished University in Dundee Scotland and moved down to London to stay with older brother Frazer and find work. For years Frazer had been telling Anthony about a club in London called The Cross, it was according to Frazer “The best club in the world”. Frazer wasn’t wrong … Anthony had a truly amazing time at The Cross that first night and this cemented his growing passion for the scene.

In 2004 Anthony started promoting events where Frazer was DJ’ing .The events across London were under the ‘Rotate’ name. The nights were held at some of London’s best clubs at the time (The Cross , Turnmills , The Egg etc ). This went on until around 2008 and at this time Anthony was still very much involved on the promotion side and as a consumer of the scene rather than a DJ. After this Anthony and Frazer decided to have a break from promoting.

In 2008 Anthony purchased his own 1210’s, Xone mixer and CDJ’s after years of watching /enjoying the music but not actually trying his hand at mixing himself. Having partied through the height of the funky and progressive house times in the noughties Anthony was still trying to find the sound that really made him tick. He started to experiment with the deeper side of House and Techno and discovered that darker music defined his style.

In 2012 Anthony and Frazer had a vision to get back into the scene but with a far more underground and mature concept. This paired with Anthony’s hunger and drive to get more involved in DJing, resulted in the creation of a new event called ‘Open’ .

Open is launching in 2013 and is a collective vision of Anthony’s and Frazer’s .Great underground music, sound system, venue and above all, great people.

Anthony has a serious connection with Techno mixed in with quality underground House. Any music he plays must have a gritty underground quality and melodic feel. Anthony is currently learning production techniques so look out for some tracks before the end of 2013, watch this space…..

Straight out of East London Nikala has been djing for well over 15 years and learned her craft on a pair of Soundlab decks way back in the 90′s; teaching herself how to mix. She has a her own inimitable style of deep groove filled house guaranteed to get your toes tapping and backside moving!

Nikala has played at various parties and clubs over the years including, BYRDZ, CSWS, Egg Club, Ministry of Sound, Pacha as well as working all over Europe! Currently working on her own productions we expect big things over the next 12 months!

Anthony Segree (Formerly Known as Mr Turbo) has been producing house music in its various guises since 2009.

He began by setting up his first experimental label Apex Level recordings (ALR_Music) in 2010.

His first release was a fusion of all genres called ‘Innovations EP’ released in 2010 on his independent label ‘Apex Level Recordings’ shortly followed by a single release entitled ‘Orgasmica’.

Collaborations followed with a remix for DJ Whitecoat and Jae Elle on their EP ‘How Does it Feel’
This was eventually released Under Apex Level Recordings/Bongo Riddims onto BEATPORT with 15 other UK remixers on the EP.

A remix followed for Smoove Kriminal’s ‘Under the Influence’ EP, again featuring 12 other artists and was released on www.smovekriminal.com
This was then followed by his second release ‘Tunnel Vision’, which was again released under Apex Level Recordings on BEATPORT, and also started attracting a lot of attention from audiences abroad.

2011-2012 saw Mr Turbo performing alongside partner DJ Weeksey together as the duo “Tech-No-Prisoners” on bookings across the UK.

Major highlights included a residency on the ever-growing events from “Mellophonik” hosting parties at some of London’s most prestigious venues such as PACHA in Victoria and the world famous “EGG” Nightclub in Kings Cross performing for ‘BODYMOVE’ and also on lineups containing various international DJ’s such as DJ Spen, CJ Mackintosh, Youseff, Mendo & Louie Cut.

A single release in Jan 2013 for Dutch Label Twisted Shuffle (Housepital Records) follows, Track entitled “Monolith” and is the catalyst for his next inspired project along with a new found love for Techno music in all its forms.

2013 brings a fresh new challenge and with it, a brand new label “Infection Records“. Teaming up with 3 other like-minded UK artists, Paul Robinson, Theo Nasa and Storm Beats, the main aim is to produce an alternative and obscure deep and tech-house sound but still also not forgetting the more contemporary styles of the genre from other talented artists added to the roster, (The likes of Ash Ellison from Manchester UK , Jason Moreno from Columbia and Ilinof Sabin from Romania, 2013 promises to be an exciting year for all involved.
